Previous studies of the internationalisation process of firms have focused on the internationalisation of manufacturing firms. This article analyses the internationalisation of technical consultansy firms, a service industry. On the basis of two Swedish case studies the article concludes that the firms' networks of relationships with other firms has a critical role in the marketingisation of the firms. Three steps in a strategy development procedure are outlined.

Excessive entitlement, the enacted belief that one's voice, opinion, or assessment holds more weight than that of others (even those of one's own kind), and how it unavoidably rubs against their sense of their best-loved self, is the focus of this chapter. Some define excessive entitlement as a kind of greed where individuals in academia elevate themselves and lord their perceptions/stances over others. This work is situated in the academy and involves relationships and situations that arose between and among graduate students and professors as well as between and among professors and other professors. Wedged between conflicting agendas, individuals feel pulled from pillar-to-post as they experience differing phenomena and images playing out within themselves, some seriously challenging their images of the best-loved self. This fine-grained scholarship illustrates that although strides have been made around gender, professional backgrounds, ethnicity, and race in society, room for significant improvement still exists, most especially at the micro-levels where aggressions can still take place. This research reveals intertwined hegemonies in academia. Narrative inquiry – a storied method that unpacks stories – deftly skirts research issues by including fictionalization as a fourth analytical tool, joining the conventional tools of broadening, burrowing and storying-restorying. Using these devices situates the inquiry, burrows into stories of experiences, and illuminates shifts taking place. Truth is established through employing multiple research tools over time and gauging the extent to which the intersecting narratives ring true to those outside the research situation.

In contrast to the attention it has received in related fields of research, body image has remained understudied within the field of public health. This is highly problematic, given a growing body of evidence implicating body dissatisfaction in a range of other public health concerns. The paper aims to discuss these issues.

This commentary is based on a review of the public health, body image, eating disorder, and mental health literatures.

Body dissatisfaction is implicated in a range of public health concerns, including impaired psychological health (e.g. depression) and eating- and weight-related problems (e.g. eating disorders, obesity).

Given these associations, as well as the high levels of body dissatisfaction in the population, the authors argue for a critical need to address the prevalence of body image concerns as a public health issue worthy of greater consideration within programs and policies; dedicated funding for research on antecedents, consequences, and intervention strategies; and allocated resources for training.

Although adverse events are less studied in the prehospital setting, the evidence is beginning to paint an alarming picture. Consequently, improvements in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) demand a paradigm shift regarding the way care is conceptualized. The chapter aims to (1) support the dialogue on near-misses and adverse events as a learning opportunity and (2) to provide insights on applications of multiteam systems (MTSs).

To offer discussion on near-misses and adverse events and knowledge on how MTSs are applicable to emergency medical care, we review and dissect a complex patient case.

Throughout this case discussion, we uncover seven pertinent issues specific to this particular MTS: (1) misunderstanding with number of patients and their locations, (2a) lack of context to build a mental model, (2b) no time or resources to think, (3) expertise-facilitated diagnosis, (4) lack of communication contributing to a medication error, (5) treatment plan selection, (6) extended time on scene, and (7) organizational culture impacting treatment plan decisions.

By dissecting a patient case within the prehospital setting, we can highlight the value in engaging in dialogue regarding near-misses and adverse events. Further, we can demonstrate the need to expand the focus from simply teams to MTSs.

For high crack-susceptibility materials such as Inconel 713LC (IN713LC) nickel alloy, fabricating crack-free components using the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) technique represents a significant challenge because of the complex interactions between the effects of the main processing parameters, namely, the laser power and scanning speed. Accordingly, this study aims to build up a methodology which combines simulation model and experimental approach to fabricate high-density (>99.9%) IN713LC components using LPBF process.

The present study commences by performing three-dimensional (3D) heat transfer finite element simulations to predict the LPBF outcome (e.g. melt pool depth, temperature and mushy zone extent) for 33 representative sample points chosen within the laser power and scanning speed design space. The simulation results are used to train a surrogate model to predict the LPBF result for any combination of the processing conditions within the design space. Then, experimental trials were performed to choose the proper hatching space and also to define the high crack susceptibility criterion. The process map is then filtered in accordance with five quality criteria, namely, avoiding the keyhole phenomenon, improving the adhesion between the melt pool and the substrate, ensuring single-scan-track stability, avoiding excessive melt pool evaporation and suppressing the formation of micro-cracks, to determine the region of the process map which improves the relative density of the IN713LC component and minimizes the micro-cracks. The optimal processing conditions are used to fabricate IN713LC specimens for tensile testing purposes.

The optimal processing conditions predicted by simulation model are used to fabricate IN713LC specimens for tensile testing purposes. Experimental results show that the tensile strength and elongation of 3D-printed IN713LC tensile bar is higher than those of tensile bar made by casting. The yield strength of 791 MPa, ultimate strength of 995 MPa, elongation of 12%, and relative density of 99.94% are achieved.

The present study proposed a systematic methodology to find the processing conditions that are able to minimize the formation of micro-crack and improve the density of the high crack susceptivity metal material in LPBF process.

The question of teacher motivation is of paramount concern for educational leaders and managers. Both the commonly observed deficiency in teacher motivation and the abundance of teacher stress are serious problems that can be mitigated through teacher education. This study describes a relational‐training stress‐management course that was prepared and implemented in an attempt to reduce teacher stress. The 30‐hour programme was divided into ten sessions that included thematic exercises on a variety of topics: sharing professional experiences with colleagues, identifying specific stress factors and possible coping strategies, replacing irrational beliefs with more appropriate beliefs, analysing strategies for dealing with student discipline and motivation problems in the classroom, and practising assertiveness and relaxation. Following the course, participating teachers showed a significant decrease in their irrational beliefs and professional distress, as well as an increase in professional motivation and the perception of wellbeing.

IN the newspapers, on the radio and television railways have been a topic on which differing views have been expressed. There have been suggestions that a Government subsidy might ease the problems.

This chapter aims to list the literature that document the role of hospitality industry achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and to summarize those contributions, related to the literature. Extensive literature review was also conducted to explore a critical analysis of sustainable digitalization of the hospitality industry.

The article has undertaken a systematic literature review of all the significant research area of almost last two decades. Keyword searches were performed in Google Scholar search engine, where timeframe of “2001–2023” was used to filter the desired article. Total 141 research articles were primarily identified after the initial search. After screening the articles for relevance or duplicates, finally 107 articles were considered for this study.

This study figures out those environment-related SDGs which is considered essential for the hospitality industry. This study found the importance of adopting digitalization in hospitality sector to build inclusive environment and providing seamless experience to customers while focusing on both positive and negative aspects associated with digital transformation.

Hospitality industry of numerous countries around the world are now exploring by implementing SDGs and Digitalization in their business practices. This study will provide insight to policymakers as development and usage of digital technologies and implementing SDGs in their practices are crucial for the sustainable transformation of hospitality industry. Sustainable transformation of hospitality sector not only improves services and helps us to make wiser choices when planning for a trip but also positively impact both physical and psychological well-being.
